Open Day at the 50 Miles

On October 8, the seafarers‘ club in Oldenburg had opened its door to all interested parties.

Every hour, as part of the 50 Miles open day, a presentation was given on a specific topic. Those who could not be there in person were given the opportunity to join in via Zoom.

Regional manager and speaker Lutz Renken informed the visitors about the humanistic world view and about the different offers of the boxderSinne, boxdervorurteile and boxderevolution. In addition, the visitors could try out the exhibits on display.

In the afternoon, the SSSO was joined by Till Andrzejewski via video, who, together with regional managing director Jürgen Steinecke, reported on the work of the Seafarer’s Social Service and gave a tour of the facility.

Councilwoman Vally Finke (SPD) then presented three jigsaw puzzles as a gift, since many seafarers actually like to do jigsaw puzzles in their free time. All in all, a successful event with many good conversations.
