Like all non-profit organizations, we as a Humanist Association depend on donations and sponsorship for our services. It does not always have to be financial support. We are also happy to receive donations in kind and volunteer work.

The Seafarer’s Social Service Oldenburg and the 50 Miles is mainly run by voluntary work. Therefore we are happy about your support. For the contact with the seafarers you should have knowledge of English. Knowledge of other languages such as Spanish, Polish or Russian is also an advantage. In the field of Humanistic Pastoral Care we offer regular training and education for those who are interested. If this is not your thing, you are also welcome to help us in other ways during our opening hours. Just call or come by. We are happy about any help!
